Dvmplin is a new independent food business based in London, delivering handcrafted dumplings to your door, currently on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays. Made with conscious thought put into every detail of the process, from the individual ingredients, to the packaging elements and the way they are delivered Dvmplin follows a guideline of making healthy, indulgent food whilst not destroying the planet. This is vegan luxury, two terms, that many people find it difficult to imagine together, but Dvmplin is leading the way to change this perception. Dvmplin is plant based indulgence for a market that enjoys quality food.

Vegan and vegetarian food has come a long long way, and businesses like this one are at the forefront of the movement. I can vouch for the tastiness myself and think the ethos with which the business is made is very indicative of the changes to diets people are making in their lives for a variety of reasons. More and more people are choosing plant based options regularly and chefs, entrepreneurs and businesses are getting more creative in their kitchens to make their product stand out.

Dvmplin Founder Anna spent the entire of 2020 working on recipes to launch her new business in 2021. Working tirelessly with flour and flavour profiles to make sure they were the highest quality they could be, she worked alongside a Michelin star chef to refine her products for an audience that knows good food. Taking inspiration from all over the world, Anna has created a menu to satisfy many tastes.

Experimentation, creativity, and adaptability have been key to making the business work, especially with the added complexities of Brexit and a global pandemic, and Anna has stepped up to the plate so it seems every single time. (I'll be interviewing her on this at some point, so look out for that!) Having gone to and from the drawing board numerous times in 2020, the dumpling shapes, flavours, and menu design have all changed a few times to meet people's feedback, you only need to scroll through the Instagram to see the process in action. It is listening to what her market wants and being flexible enough to make things happen that makes this a business worth watching.

Anna has now launched her website and ordering system, so you can get these delicious parcels delivered to your door on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. (This is subject to change as things are changing all the time).

Anna delivers the dumplings herself on a bicycle, so right now, they are only available for pre order on one, two days or three days a week, and she has to limit the area to London Zone 1, 2 and 3 at a push unless you're able to collect. (When it's lockdown, this changes, so always check on her site or social media when ordering).

The copy on the website was done by yours truly, and I've been so happy to offer suggestions and critical feedback throughout. I would love it if you could support this wonderful small business by either sharing the word on the new dumplings in town, or ordering!
